This program provides step-by-step guidance to help educators prepare students to pass the LEED Green Associate credential exam.
A LEED professional credential signifies that you’re an active participant in the green building movement. With jobs specifying the need for green building expertise, a LEED credential shows a clear commitment to professional growth, while underscoring your value to LEED project teams and sustainability-focused organizations. LEED Green Associates have a documented, up-to-date understanding of the most current green building principles and practices, and are committed to their professional future.
Each of the included lessons breaks down the material to prepare for the LEED Green Associate exam. The activities and discussion questions can be completed as individuals, in small groups, or as whole class activities. In addition to the links, resources, and worksheets included in the Lessons, students will need to have access to the LEED Core Concepts (3rd edition). This is one of the exam’s primary reference sources.
The individual lessons can stand on their own as well if the objective is to just teach about green building or sustainability concepts in LEED. Instructors can use all of the lessons if the goal is to prepare students to pass the exam. Or they can mix and match the lessons that meet their instruction goals.
