This lesson is a literacy-based lesson which further explores the five areas that are measured by Arc in order to learn about some of the best practices that schools and school districts are doing nationally to become sustainable schools.

Key objectives for students
Use scientific language to discuss the impact that their behavior has on the efficiency of their building
Describe how models are used to understand something that is not immediately visible.
Use scientific language to describe how scientists, engineers, and building managers use data to improve the efficiency of schools.
Identify ways to improve the efficiency of my school in one or more of the following areas: energy, waste, water, transportation, or human experience.
