4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12
Essential questions
How does the built environment affect the natural environment?
How does the growth of larger cities and communities disturb the surrounding natural environment and diversity of its inhabitants?
How can green buildings and green spaces provide a healthier atmosphere?
What other “green” industry has experienced a large boom?
How does nature inspire innovation, technology, and urban development?

Students and teachers can play a part in helping promote Green Living by learning about how they can become "Green Schools". Successful green schools are better for students, teachers, and communities. They teach students how to lead a changing world, and they support student understanding by modeling sustainable behavior through green operations and building practices. Students can help improve their school grounds by monitoring and maintaining public spaces. Students can also advocate for and lead restoration projects of local habitats. Teachers can create opportunities for students to learn about engineering and manufacturing green jobs and encourage innovations and inventions that specifically focus on solving local, national, and international environmental problems.
