This session engages teachers in readings and activities that build student awareness of the importance of water resources and methods of green building that conserve water and reduce water pollution. Teachers across all subject areas will participate in activities that help them address content standards in their core areas in the context of water conservation and protection.

This workshop was developed by YouthBuild USA, Inc. in partnership with EdTech Leaders Online at Education Development Center. YouthBuild USA leads a national network of 260 local YouthBuild programs in 46 states, Washington DC, and the Virgin Islands that help youth transform their own lives while transforming their communities. YouthBuild programs address critical issues facing low-income communities – housing, education, employment, crime prevention and leadership development. EdTech Leaders Online provides capacity building, training, and online courses for school districts, state departments of education, and colleges and universities.
